Events & Workshops

Join the Creative Fun! - At the Gwent Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers, we run a varied programme of events, workshops and hands-on learning opportunities throughout the year designed to help you grow your skills, connect with fellow makers, and immerse yourself in the world of textile crafts.

Whether you’ve been spinning for years or you’re curious to try weaving or dyeing for the first time, our events are friendly, inspiring, and open to everyone. Many workshops fill up quickly, so be sure to get in early!

We host regular workshops at High Cross Community Hall, Rogerstone, Newport — usually running from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm unless otherwise stated. These are hands-on, practical sessions where you can learn techniques, try new tools, and share ideas with other members.

✨ Workshops cover topics such as dyeing, weaving on different looms, spinning tips, pattern design, and more!
