Friendship Day 2026
In May we held a friendship day, the first at our new home, and the first for several years, it was the best decision – so much fun! Everyone pulled together organising table displays, baking cakes, raffle tickets, sales tables, suppliers included the amazing Wonky Weavers and Cat and Sparrow. Monthly weaving focus
We start our monthly meetings with show and tell of what members have taken off from their looms. This month was a splendid treat, Hugh’s daughter gets married next month and his unique gifts are hand woven stoles using his Gilmore floor loom warped with un-mercerised cotton with a weft of mercerised cotton, and a beautiful huck lace pattern which catches the light. Natural Dyeing - Show and Tell with Jo
The culmination of our year of natural dyeing lead by Jo, our member who is currently undertaking the Certificate of Achievement. We have benefited from her expertise and enthusiasm – Everyone taking part was enthralled by the results!
