Friendship Day 2026

In May we held a friendship day, the first at our new home, and the first for several years, it was the best decision – so much fun!
Everyone pulled together organising table displays, baking cakes, raffle tickets, sales tables, suppliers included the amazing Wonky Weavers and Cat and Sparrow.
The sun shone, homemade cakes were a plenty. We welcomed several guilds to our party, the hall was buzzing, so many spinning wheels in one room!
We are a fantastic Guild doing an amazing amount... in our first year at High Cross we have held a monthly natural dye along, we’ve explored spinning different Welsh breed fleece each month, we’ve incorporated a weaving focus into our monthly program which has included Krokbragd, double weave, peg-loom and more (we always share with ‘show and tell’) of whatever has been the previous focus.
The photos show the Wonky Weaver Store; "So many wheels in one room"; colourful weaving samples;
Lovely Linda spinning a yarn to welcome visitors; examples of varied natural dye results; Sue with "Cakes galore".
